The State of Idaho has mandatory minimum levels of liability coverage for any vehicle registered in the State. While liability insurance will not cover any damages to your vehicle the minimum levels of liability insurance required by Idaho car insurance laws are sufficient for most minor accidents (at least to cover damages to another party). The current auto insurance requirements (2010) in Idaho are 25/50/15 which means:
- $25,000 liability coverage per person per accident
- $50,000 liability per accident (all persons)
- $15,000 property damage coverage
